I am turning a small profit already each and every week. Which is nice at least I am not in the red. I will hopefully have some more time to post here, with the elections coming up I will try to offer some thoughts on the key races.

About my business real quick....

It is called Convenient Wheels, it is a full service transport business. Meaning that if you need anything I will bring it to you or take you to it. Besides that I run people to the airports in the Detroit area for a flat rate, much cheaper than a normal taxi I am told. I am also doing a bagel drop off service for area businesses.

So all in all it is good, and the people that I have contacted with flyers seem to be taken to it.

I hope to get back into the swing of things soon, as this election is turning into quite the spectacle.

Good luck everyone and see you all in a few days.

More Democrat Hypocricy

You need to watch this video I found on youtube. Al Gore and his message on climate change is but the latest.

In Australia to promote his film An Inconvenient Truth, Gore was given extremely soft interviews by Kerry O'Brien on The 7.30 Report, Andrew Denton on Enough Rope and Fran Kelly on Radio National.

All ABC interviewers accepted Gore's preaching without substantial query.

The problem for moral guardians is that often they take the high moral ground while simultaneously dealing in much of what they condemn. It's called double standards. And right now the world of commentary is full of them.

In his film, to be released in Australia tomorrow, the former US vice-president lectures at length on the need for all of us to change our lifestyles to save the planet.

We are sitting on a time bomb, he tells us, a planet heating to such an extent we have just 10 years before the apocalypse. We have a choice he says - "to bring our carbon emissions to zero". We must use renewable energy and clothes lines, drive hybrid cars and cut back on consumption.

Read about Gore's Hypocrisy

I realize that to the left we are to do what we are told. This is just more BS from the people that find every reason under the sun to complain about what the President is doing. I love this money quote in the article it speaks volumns when you put it next to what the idiot Gore is doing.
We have a choice he says - "to bring our carbon emissions to zero". We must use renewable energy and clothes lines, drive hybrid cars and cut back on consumption.
Now remember Gore is traveling around on a private jet, that consumes so much jet fuel that it would take me a year to put that much "green house gases" into the atmosphere. I am willing to bet that when Gore landed that he took a limo or a whole fleet of SUV's to his speech as well. The American public needs to wake up to this hypocrisy and vote every single Democrat out of office. Then and only then will America be able to defend its self and get off the foriegn oil tit.

In fact think about it, if we want to get off of oil but at every turn the Democrats and their lobbyists are fighting to keep us from drilling our own oil, from putting up wind generators where they will do the best good, not allow a nuclear plant to be built for better electricity. You know it is like the Democrats love to have us supporting those that support terrorism. I guess you can say the Democrats want to kill all Americans with the arm of Al-Qaeda.

The President of Iraq, Jalal Talabani, shares his views in 'Dear Americans'

The President of Iraq, Jalal Talabani, shares his views in 'Dear Americans'

McClatchy Newspapers

GEORGE BRIDGES, KRT

Jalal Talabani, the president of Iraq.

Dear Americans:

As I am visiting the United States for the second time representing free and democratic Iraq, I felt it my duty to give you an update on what has been achieved in Iraq over the past year and on the challenges that lie ahead.

The first thing I would like to convey is the gratitude of all Iraqis, who are fighting for a democratic government and a civil society, to the Americans. Without your commitment, our struggle against despotism could not have made the progress that we have achieved. No expression of thanks could be enough for those who lost loved ones in Iraq. We feel your pain, we honor your sacrifice and we will never forget you.

To those of you who have family and friends in Iraq today, we say: Your sons and daughters are helping us through a historic transition. We will always remember the enormous sacrifice that America is making for Iraq.

Thanks to the United States, we are transforming Iraq from a country that was ruled by fear, repression and dictatorship into a country that is ruled by democracy and has the values of equality, tolerance, human rights and the rule of law at its heart.

April 9, 2003, the day of liberation, heralded a new era in the history of Iraq and the region. That day triggered a sequence of events that laid the foundation of a modern Iraq that is at peace with itself and the world.

All segments of Iraqi society have benefited from liberation

Talabani talks to Americans

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are welcome Mr. President, I just hope that those on the wacked out left can wake up and stop trying to make this another Vietnam so you and your people can make the final transitions in the years to come. It is so easy for the moonbat left to forget that it took years to get Japan to transform, in fact we are still there. We are still in Germany even though they have tore down the wall and live as one nation again. We are still in Korea 50 years later, we are still in Bosnia even after Clinton promised that our boys and girls would be home by Christmas, I guess that was Christmas in an undertermined year yet to pass.
I am proud of our troops and what they are doing, and it makes me feel good when I get to read something from a person in Iraq living it, and not some "reporter" who sits in their hotel and just writes what they are told.

EXCLUSIVE...9/11 Debate: Loose Change Filmmakers vs. Popular Mechanics Editors of "Debunking 9/11 Myths"

This is a must read for anyone with half a brain. I wish I could play the video but for whatever reason it will not play on this PC.

I have read this thing twice and I am amazed that the kids at loose change are taken seriously anywhere. They definitely are not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree. They refused to accept the answers given and kept saying things like "that is a lie" or "address the evidence" when the popular mechanic's guys would address the evidence and offer their own proof they were told they were lying. So it seems that the only truth out there is what the idiots at loose change tell us, nothing else can be the truth because there are a few questions that do not fit their view of the world. How old were these two again at the time of 9/11? I think they were 15 at the time, I mean sheesh at 15 they were more concerned with getting a feel of a girl’s breast or should have been, maybe the preferred to get the feel of a guys crotch more? I do not know the answer to those two but I can tell you that their views are skewed on this matter.

They say that those that believe in conspiracy theories do so because their brains are too small to accept the reality of what really happened. They prefer to see the government responsible because the truth that there are people that want to kill all of us that refuse to follow their perverted version of religion. I do feel sorry for the two boys at loose change, I also feel sorry for the people that believe their crap and have not actually accepted the fact that there are people that wish to convert us all to Islam, and kill those that do not. Maybe in time with the proper education we can make people realize this.

I do know that when I tell people of the Islam worlds justice in places like Iran, where they stoned a young girl to death for being raped by a family member, they are aghast as the brutality they show to women. When I tell my gay friends that they will be one of the first ones killed in the new Islam world, they laugh at me till I show them the proof. When I tell my atheist friends that we will be next they laugh too till I show them how men are treated that switch from Islam to Christianity. I have to ask them, if Islam was so tolerant then why oh why are so many Christian Arabs living here in the good ole USA? They never have an answer for that one btw.

It was good to see the two idiots from loose change being taken to the shed. Maybe just maybe more people will wake up and see the threat that faces us all.

President Bush Job Approval

Forty-seven percent (47%) of American adults approve of the way that President Bush is performing his job. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove. Those are by far the best numbers for the President since mid-February.

The spike is fueled largely by a resurgence of support among the President’s base. Eighty-five percent (85%) of Republicans now offer their approval. At its low point earlier in the year, just 66% of the GOP faithful approved of his job performance.

In January and much of February, the President’s Job Approval ratings were in the mid-40s. Then, they fell sharply and have hovered around 40% ever since. Fifty percent (50%) of men and 44% of women now say they somewhat or strongly approve of the President’s performance. Overall, 24% of Americans Strongly Approve and 38% Strongly Disapprove.

Since this is just the third day of a bounce, it remains to be seen whether this reflects lasting change or is nothing more than statistical noise. The Rasmussen Reports daily updates are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. Most of the interviews for today’s update were completed after President Bush’s address to the nation three nights ago. Friday’s results will be the first based entirely upon interviews conducted after the speech and after the 9/11 anniversary.

You can read the rest at Rasmussen.com

I normally do not put much faith into polls, especially those done by AP and Zogby they seem to over sample Democrats and get skewed results, but I figure this poll is safe to follow. One Rasmussen is the only pollster I know of that has even been remotely right in his sampling data. He called the election correctly not only 2000, but 2004 as well. Even with the flawed exit polling data showing Kerry winning at 3 PM, Rasmussen stuck by his predictions that President Bush would win by 2-3% points. It is kind of funny how the major media called the Election at 3PM when most voters were still at work, well save the Democrats that do not have jobs anyway, anyway that is for a different time. Back to my original thought, that was that Rasmussen is actually quite accurate in a hardly scientific method of getting a snap shot of the American people.

If you look at the data in this poll you will see that the increase has come from the Republican base. That support jumped from 66% to 85% almost a 20% increase, so it makes sense that the President would gain in approval with his base supporting him more now than they did earlier this year. Now this is good news I think for the Republicans. For one I am willing to bet all my earning for a month that the base is finally realizing the peril the country would be in if the Democrats do gain control of the congress in November. It is something I have realized from day one, and I was dismayed that so many were willing to put into a party that is more concerned with revenge than with protecting this country.

The democrats (I use a little d here because well they are tiny people) have helped the President by being on their very worst behavior. With attacking George Allen as a racist, to the treatment they gave to Joe Lieberman. They have shown the American people that they do not care about anything but getting back the power they feel they are entitled to. They have given us glimpses into their plans, impeachment and cut and run are the top of their priorities.

If you want to redeploy the troops to Okinawa, take a minute to look where Okinawa is compared to Iraq, which is cut and run. Regardless of what they (the Lunatic Democrats) try to dress it up as it results in the same thing. The one thing they have been trying to do since this war began, make it another Vietnam, they (the lunatic democrats) would prefer that our troops were spit on and hated than actually supporting them. They are still pissed that the Republicans were able to impeach Clinton, not because he got a blow job either, on perjury charges to a Federal Grand Jury. Clinton attempted to keep a woman from having her day in court on charges he sexually harassed her. He lied to the grand jury and for that he was disbarred and impeached, if the Senate would have had the balls he would have been fully impeached. For the Looney left though the fact that they feel he was impeached for something they wished they could get, speaks volumes to their sanity.

The best thing about this poll is that it shows us what really matters, that the base is getting behind the Republicans again, and that is due to the Democrats lack of understanding that not everyone truly hates the President for being a Republican.

There is one more thing that will eventually lead to a Democrat defeat in November, that is the gas prices. They are falling faster than anything I have ever seen. Mark my words if they continue to drop and approach the $2 mark before the elections Republicans regain control of both houses and probably pick up a few more.

I have been quite busy the last 4 days

I have been working with my friend and partner in putting up a few different sites. We established a quotes, biographies, pictures site earlier this month. I have been trying to help get it ranked on google and yahoo and it is coming along quite well. We have recieved around 183 uniques this month and over 1k page views just from Google. We are hoping to hit about 600 unique visitors this month it would be quite an accomplishment we feel.

The other site we put up is a forum designed for many users of varying interests. It was installed around the same time and is actually doing a bit better than the quote site. We have 8 active members in the last 2 weeks and are trying to get more with advertising at other sites and forums we have visited.

The quote website is called FocusDep

The forum is called TalkDep

If you wish to stop by that would be great, join the forum and start a convo with people. Disney’s subsidiary ABC erroneously claims the misleading miniseries is based on 9/11 Commission report and is planning to air it on September 10 and 11. Shockingly, the network is also planning to use the program as a teaching tool through Scholastic, potentially misinforming thousands of children about the most important event in recent American history.

The text of the letter, signed by Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, Assistant Democratic Leader Dick Durbin, and Senators Debbie Stabenow, Charles Schumer, and Byron Dorgan, is below.

September 7, 2006

Mr. Robert A. Iger

President and CEO

The Walt Disney Company

500 South Buena Vista Street

Burbank CA 91521

Dear Mr. Iger,

We write with serious concerns about the planned upcoming broadcast of The Path to 9/11 mini-series on September 10 and 11. Countless reports from experts on 9/11 who have viewed the program indicate numerous and serious inaccuracies that will undoubtedly serve to misinform the American people about the tragic events surrounding the terrible attacks of that day. Furthermore, the manner in which this program has been developed, funded, and advertised suggests a partisan bent unbecoming of a major company like Disney and a major and well respected news organization like ABC. We therefore urge you to cancel this broadcast to cease Disney’s plans to use it as a teaching tool in schools across America through Scholastic. Presenting such deeply flawed and factually inaccurate misinformation to the American public and to children would be a gross miscarriage of your corporate and civic responsibility to the law, to your shareholders, and to the nation.

The Communications Act of 1934 provides your network with a free broadcast license predicated on the fundamental understanding of your principle obligation to act as a trustee of the public airwaves in serving the public interest. Nowhere is this public interest obligation more apparent than in the duty of broadcasters to serve the civic needs of a democracy by promoting an open and accurate discussion of political ideas and events.

Disney and ABC claim this program to be based on the 9/11 Commission Report and are using that assertion as part of the promotional campaign for it. The 9/11 Commission is the most respected American authority on the 9/11 attacks, and association with it carries a special responsibility. Indeed, the very events themselves on 9/11, so tragic as they were, demand extreme care by any who attempt to use those events as part of an entertainment or educational program. To quote Steve McPhereson, president of ABC Entertainment, “When you take on the responsibility of telling the story behind such an important event, it is absolutely critical that you get it right.”

Unfortunately, it appears Disney and ABC got it totally wrong.

Despite claims by your network’s representatives that The Path to 9/11 is based on the report of the 9/11 Commission, 9/11 Commissioners themselves, as well as other experts on the issues, disagree.

Richard Ben-Veniste, speaking for himself and fellow 9/11 Commissioners who recently viewed the program, said, “As we were watching, we were trying to think how they could have misinterpreted the 9/11 Commission’s findings the way that they had.” [“9/11 Miniseries Is Criticized as Inaccurate and Biased,” New York Times, September 6, 2006]

Richard Clarke, the former counter-terrorism czar, and a national security advisor to ABC has described the program as “deeply flawed” and said of the program’s depiction of a Clinton official hanging up on an intelligence agent, “It’s 180 degrees from what happened.” [“9/11 Miniseries Is Criticized as Inaccurate and Biased,” New York Times, September 6, 2006]

Reports suggest that an FBI agent who worked on 9/11 and served as a consultant to ABC on this program quit halfway through because, “he thought they were making things up.” [MSNBC, September 7, 2006]

Even Thomas Kean, who serves as a paid consultant to the miniseries, has admitted that scenes in the film are fictionalized. [“9/11 Miniseries Is Criticized as Inaccurate and Biased,” New York Times, September 6, 2006]
That Disney would seek to broadcast an admittedly and proven false recounting of the events of 9/11 raises serious questions about the motivations of its creators and those who approved the deeply flawed program. Finally, that Disney plans to air commercial-free a program that reportedly cost it $40 million to produce serves to add fuel to these concerns.

These concerns are made all the more pressing by the political leaning of and the public statements made by the writer/producer of this miniseries, Mr. Cyrus Nowrasteh, in promoting this miniseries across conservative blogs and talk shows.

Frankly, that ABC and Disney would consider airing a program that could be construed as right-wing political propaganda on such a grave and important event involving the security of our nation is a discredit both to the Disney brand and to the legacy of honesty built at ABC by honorable individuals from David Brinkley to Peter Jennings. Furthermore, that Disney would seek to use Scholastic to promote this misguided programming to American children as a substitute for factual information is a disgrace.

As 9/11 Commission member Jamie Gorelick said, “It is critically important to the safety of our nation that our citizens, and particularly our school children, understand what actually happened and why – so that we can proceed from a common understanding of what went wrong and act with unity to make our country safer.”

Should Disney allow this programming to proceed as planned, the factual record, millions of viewers, countless schoolchildren, and the reputation of Disney as a corporation worthy of the trust of the American people and the United States Congress will be deeply damaged. We urge you, after full consideration of the facts, to uphold your responsibilities as a respected member of American society and as a beneficiary of the free use of the public airwaves to cancel this factually inaccurate and deeply misguided program. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sincerely,

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid

Assistant Democratic Leader Dick Durbin

Senator Debbie Stabenow

Senator Charles Schumer

Senator Byron Dorgan

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That looks like a threat to me, now maybe I am looking to hard at this and I am a bit ticked off at the attempt to silence free speech. ABC has stated that this is not a documentary but a Docudrama, taking some facts and embleshing on others to make a point. You know like Michael Moore does with his intellectually dishonest hack jobs that the Liberals claim is so damn truthful.

I will say that I beleive if ABC caves fully, those 100 of copies they sent out to critics, many conservative, will come to light and this will come back to bite the Democrats in the ass come November. If liberal bloggers wish to try to keep surfers from learning the truth, their by stifling free speech more, I welcome it and can not wait to hear the whining when Republicans strengthen their lead in both houses come november. As always the Democrats are being shortsighted and not offering us a intellectually honest response to facts that are reported in the 9/11 report.

From those that I know that have watched this film, they have said that it not only shows what Clinton failed to do but it shows what President Bush failed to do. Which if you actually take a moment or 100 to read the 9/11 report you will find many instances where Clinton was found to of neglected the war that was raging early in his first term. With the bombing of the WTC in 1993, of course much like the hurricanes of that 8 years of hell, CLinton response was nil. Ahh well so much for freedom of the press if it disagrees with the Democrats. And they call President Bush hitler.

Best Defence Against Terrorism Is A Split With US, Say Voters

Best Defence Against Terrorism Is A Split With US, Say Voters

Timesonline
By Peter Riddell
September 06, 2006

MOST people believe that the Blair Government’s foreign policy has increased significantly the risk of terrorist attacks and now want Britain to distance itself from America and set a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq, according to a poll for The Times.

The Populus poll was undertaken over the weekend as news came of the death of 14 British servicemen on board a crashed Nimrod aircraft in Afghanistan.

The results underline the unpopularity of Tony Blair’s Middle Eastern policy and how a majority of voters believe there is a direct connection with terrorist plots and attacks at home.

Nearly three quarters of the public (73 per cent) believe that “the British Government’s foreign policy, especially its support for the invasion of Iraq and refusal to demand an immediate ceasefire by Israel in the recent war against Hezbollah in Lebanon, has significantly increased the risk of terrorist attacks on Britain”.

>Moreover, three fifths (62 per cent) agree that “in order to reduce the risk of future terrorist attacks on Britain the Government should change its foreign policy, in particular by distancing itself from America, being more critical of Israel and declaring a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq”. Women (66 per cent) and Liberal Democrat voters (74 per cent) agree with this view particularly strongly.

Nonetheless, a similar proportion of voters (63 per cent) believe that “Muslim extremists hate democracy and the Western way of life, and if Britain’s foreign policy were different they would find another excuse for their terrorist activities”. This is a widely held view, backed by two thirds of Labour and Tory voters, but only just over a half (53 per cent) of Lib Dems.

However, voters are also sympathetic to Muslim concerns. Just a half (52 per cent) believe that “even though there is no justification for terrorism, the British Government’s foreign policy, especially towards Iraq and the recent attacks on Lebanon by Israel, is anti-Muslim and it is understandable that many Muslims are offended by it”

Read the rest of the Timesonline article

----------------------------------------------------------

You know appeasement did not work out so well in the 1930's with Hitler. There is no difference between the Islamo Facists and the Facists of Hitlers time. They both wanted the Jews dead. Never have I seen a world so bent on killing one race. The UN is the harboer of anti-jewish behavior The EU scoffs and holds their noses up so high that they are firmly stuck up a bird's ass and just wildly go where ever that Bird goes. I am hopefully that this works out for them, I just can not see how negotiating with people that are starting at "We are going to kill you if you do not do as we say" is going to do any good.

Does HIV/AIDS cause death?

I have been having a conversation with a BLOGGER by the name of Man_with_no_Name. This is my response to him, now my response will be long as well so I decided to make this a regular BLOG post, plus I have a feeling that we both might learn something and help educate others so this needs to be front and center. I hope he does not mind this and I hope he agrees that we might be able to help others understand what is going on with HIV/AIDS. Below was going to be my response till I figured out it was over 1k words. I normally would break this up into two seperate posts but I figured it would be best to leave it be. Sorry for the length but this subject is very important to me and I get passionate when talking about it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow that is a long post man; I will check out your BLOG and read what you have to say. I am interested in reading everything I can as that is a good way to learn. And just because someone has taken the time and spent the money to get a PHD, doesn’t make them any less of a crackpot, just a crackpot with time and money; remember those that can not do a real job, teach. When our kids start to receive a better education in the public schools then maybe my view on teachers will change. Right now we rank near last in industrial nations in our little ones being educated and I can not take a teacher or professor seriously with such staggering failures on that front. I want readers sure, who doesn’t? But I am not going to play the PC card, I do not believe in being PC as I think that is causing a lot of our problems in society. We are overly worried how others will feel when we state our opinions or just the honest to god truth. I am open minded enough to read information that you base your opinions on, and if they make sense after I weight them with everything else on the subject I will amend my opinion.

Gattina said the opposite of what you are saying, she stated that “Do you not read the US news” meaning that I should believe what the media is saying in this story and others. In case you are wondering, a majority of the papers and news agencies report how poorly this fight is going and many state it is because the US government did not give enough to the UN to fight this disease globally. I responded that was her problem she was buying into the propaganda spread by the US media. Every wonder why Hollywood and the Media spread such negative views of America? Why not show what those of that live day to day and not rely on people to watch us so we can make millions to then shove our opinions down their throats? Anyway I think you mistook what she said as she is definitely one of the little sheep that buys everything the media tells her.

Now to the main substance of your post, I will agree that there is a lot of money tied to the HIV/AIDS debate. The conference in Toronto showed just that, in fact it was blatantly obvious they were more worried about gathering money for them than taking this disease head on. They all condemn the US for giving its money directly to the local governments in Africa, the fact is and the article showed that it was doing much more good in the last 5 years than previously when we just gave our money to the UN and other organizations. In my opinion this was the case because like any large organization you have lots of hands in the pot, and they tend to take that money for other reasons than what it was donated for. I have no love for the UN and I feel that it is the largest reason for the World being so disrupted. More good can be done at the local level than at the international level as this article showed.

I think it is important to have accurate information, AZT did cause a lot of deaths, one report was 2 deaths per 1000 I think. I know that deaths were higher in 1989-1999 (I think have to recheck and I have not time right now) when AZT was prescribed as the main medicine to helping HIV patients. The fact is though that AZT did let them live a few more years than they might otherwise have had at that time. But with research there comes better and more efficient drugs, which is why the deaths to HIV/AIDS have fallen to around 15k a year in the US. There is still over half a million diagnose with the virus in the US, this is according to CDC. Now you are correct in saying that there is a lot of miss reporting. In fact if you look for the information you will find that they are uncertain as to who has contacted this virus in the US.

A majority of HIV/AIDS cases in the US are among the Gay and Drug users in the states. Not to say all but a majority. The reason for this, and I am not sure if this holds true I am sure someone will be able to shed light if I am wrong, is that Gay men do not generally wear condoms, which would help keep the spreading of this disease down in their group. Drug users that get HIV/AIDS get it from dirty needles. Now I think the reason we are seeing a drop is that people are getting educated as to what spreads HIV/AIDS and they are taking the necessary steps to protect themselves and those around them. Local governments, as in a City close to me does this, are setting up areas where drug addicts can come and get a clean needle. Now I do not agree with this as they should be helping these people get off their drug addictions, but at least they are helping in saving their lives from HIV/AIDS and having them spread it to those they come in contact with either sexually or by sharing a needle.

And that I think answers your question in your last paragraph of your reply. Alas, our troop presence in Iraq is increasing; it appears Lieberman, running as an independent, will trounce Lamont; and President Bush is having his best week in the polls in six months (which is not quite the same thing as saying he's doing well in the polls).

So have the Lamonters and other victims of so-called BDS — Bush derangement syndrome — been routed? Not quite. Because BDS sufferers have a related secondary affliction: WMDS. This refers not to the unfound weapons of mass destruction but to Wal-Mart derangement syndrome. And the Democratic Party is ministering to these patients with reckless abandon.

The New York Times reported recently that the Democrats have, en masse, declared their party to be the enemy of the mega-box store. Sen. Joe Biden Jr. (D-Del.) recently delivered a "blistering attack" on the company at an anti-Wal-Mart rally in Iowa, and other Democrats have appeared at similar events. Indeed, one of the few times Lieberman and Lamont appeared at the same event during their primary contest was at an anti-Wal-Mart clambake in the Nutmeg State.

This bonfire of buffoonery is helping me learn to love Wal-Mart. First, let's talk politics. More people shop at Wal-Mart every week (127 million) than voted in the 2004 presidential election, according to a company website. They are disproportionately low-income folks who, by some estimates, are collectively saving hundreds of billions of dollars by shopping there.
Read the rest at LA Times.

---------------------

You know I came from one of those little towns that the democrats are so fond of talking about now a days, Our towns population while I was in High School was 2600, summer it blossomed to 10k due to tourists, the next largest town was 15k in population. The council of that town passed some local laws taxing businesses and that town lost the major supplier of jobs, Proctor and Gamble, well lets just say that in 3 years time the town went from 15k to just over 4k population. My little community stayed around 2200, we did loose some that used to work at the P&G plant. Now the plant closed and moved because they could no longer make a decent profit to constitute keeping the doors open. Maybe a large city can loose 11k population but if you loose 75% of your population I do not care who you are, things are going to go to hell.

Well the year I graduated Wal-Mart came to that town, all the mom and pop stores were going nuts because they were going to 'loose their business". Funny thing is yes some did in fact loose their business, those that did paid minimum wage and did not offer any health insurance regardless of the Democrats complaining about Wal-Mart. The ones that faired well actually went into competition with Wal-Mart and kept their prices about the same. They received that end of the business from the community as the community realized they were not trying to gouge them for the same product as Wal-Mart had. Oh I forgot to mention that the job loss that happened to these mom and pop shops that went out of business all were hired by Wal-Mart at a higher wage than what they were getting previously. It was a win-win for the community as it boosted the income of some of the people in the area and allowed more people to move in that needed a job from the surrounding areas. Now it has been a few years, about 15, and that town went from 4k population to about 8k now. My little part of the woods grew from the modest 2200-2600 to 7k in that time. Why? Well I think that both areas are growing well because there is actually a few more jobs due to the Wal-Mart, that is now a super Wal-mart, and other large named big saving stores moving in. The towns are keeping businesses there and making it worthwhile for new ones to move in by keeping their local taxes low on the property. In fact I believe they both stopped levying a tax on businesses that owned property as they realized that the tax they have gained by citizens moving in is much greater than what they had when people left when the work was no more.

What is the Moral? Go after Wal-Mart and the other "large box" stores and find out how quickly your community dies when everyone leaves to find jobs elsewhere. Democrats as usual are being shortsighted and only looking at their lobbyist in the Unions for guidance. I do hope that they wake up as I am getting tired of having only once choice for public office, granted it is a choice but I like to have a viable second option. Not only are the Democrats stuck on stupid in the war on terror, but they are stuck on stupid when it comes to the economy and people like me that are middle class and trying to eek out a living in their glorious utopia they have made in Michigan and other areas where they manage to get their grubby little hands on.

And now for the good news

And
now for the good news

Progress is being made in the fight against AIDS in Africa, thanks in no small part to the president's aid program. But that's not what some people want to hear.

This is probably the best news I have heard on the fight against AIDS in Africa, we know that that disease is rampant on that continent and we know that billions are spent there each year. This news story is brought to us by John Donnelly at the Boston Globe I was surprised tof see such a story at the Globe to be honest. Here is what he had to say in this great news story.

FIVE YEARS AGO, in Jos, Nigeria, a city on the country's central plateau, Dr. John Idoko regularly made rounds in a hospital packed with people dying from AIDS because they couldn't pay for the antiretroviral drugs necessary to keep them alive. Three years ago, as the price of the drugs plummeted, the Nigerian doctor was able to deliver the life-extending medication to 700 patients-until his government's supply ran out for several months.

Today, the change for the better is astonishing: Idoko now treats nearly 6,000 HIV-positive patients. He has expanded his clinic three times in five years, and his waiting room once again is too crowded. ``Now, we are eyeing an abandoned building nearby," he said last week, chuckling.

The major reason for Idoko's success is the Bush administration's AIDS program, which in the last three years has sent billions of dollars to Africa and helped save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. When I moved to Africa three years ago, the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR, was just getting off the ground. As I return to Washington this month, the $15 billion program is just hitting its stride, and many Africans believe it has become the single most effective initiative in fighting the deadly scourge.

``The greatest impact in HIV prevention and treatment in Africa is PEPFAR-there's nothing that compares," Idoko said.

Now that is great news is it not? How can anyone say that this is bad news or that the US is not doing its part in the fight on AIDS? Well apparently the World Community can as they refuse to acknowledge that the US has done this much good in Africa. I know why this is the case, and Mr. Donnelly hits on it in his article. Here is what he had to say about the World community and the AIDS conference that took place in Toronto last week.

“That debate was on full view last week at the International AIDS Conference in Toronto, which ended Thursday. While the AIDS epidemic in Africa is as urgent a crisis as it ever was-an estimated 24 million are infected on the continent and as many as 2 million died last year from AIDS-related illnesses-there are now at least some hopeful signs, though few activists in Toronto wanted to give the United States any of the credit. Indeed, the politically polarized bickering, according to those in Washington AIDS policy circles, could have effects far beyond the Beltway, threatening to impede national and international funding for AIDS programs.
. . .
One telling moment in Toronto came last Sunday when Bill Gates, whose foundation has spent billions on global health in recent years, praised PEPFAR, prompting a chorus of boos from the audience. Earlier, Stephen Lewis, the passionate United Nations special envoy on AIDS in Africa, said that the Bush administration's push for abstinence programs as part of its ABC policy-which calls for abstinence until marriage, being faithful to one's partner, and failing that, using condoms-amounts to ``incipient neocolonialism."

For three years, a wide range of AIDS activists, including Lewis, have been hammering at what they perceive as faults of the US AIDS program, creating the perception that the program is riddled with trouble. They have criticized the administration for funneling its billions into PEPFAR rather than the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, another new initiative based in Geneva. They have claimed that the US-funded treatment programs were moving far too slowly. They have questioned the wisdom of the US preference for funding faith-based groups, and have complained that Congress's mandate to spend one-third of all money targeted for prevention on abstinence programs is excessive and counterproductive.

So as we can see here they are quite miffed at the fact the US is going this alone, they want that 15 billion dollars filtered through their organizations so they can enrich themselves. They disguise it as the fact that the US programs are moving to slowly, and that they have a preference to teach abstinence and if that doesn’t work then use condoms. I have one question as I wrap this up, who is really looking out for the African people and their fight against such a deadly disease, Europe, the UN and Canada? Or the US that has given a more money than all three combined? I am sure that Dr. John Idoko will tell you differently if you talked to him in person, and he has made it clear that the last 5 years he has seen a great improvement in the fight on AIDS in his neck of the woods. It seems that the US has the right attitude towards this and once again the World is pissed because they can not get their greedy hands on some of my tax dollars.

LandShark's ZogbyPoll - It's Unanimous! Great News 4 Election Detection!

I came across this story while visiting the daily political blogs; yes I do read the other side to see what is out there. This was an interesting poll, granted it is not released to the media yet and hopefully it will be soon. I think it is very telling, and not exactly how they are reacting over on DU. First lets start out with the thread over on DU called

LandShark's Zogby Poll - It's Unanimous! Great News 4 Election Detection!

Landshark goes on and posts some of his thoughts on this, yes I would be excited too to get this response to a poll I commissioned.

“In democracy, 51% wins. So what is 92%???

92% political support would be something like domination. Annihilation of the purported opposition. A nearly irresistible political force.

So what is this force or principle that's on the side of election protection and election detection?

92% would be the percentage of likely voters in a Zogby telephone poll who answered a certain question the same way.... The poll was commissioned by Paul Lehto with partial support for the poll provided by Michael Collins and www.electionfraudnews.com, Democracy for New Hampshire, and other election detection patriots out there.

And what question did essentially all americans agree on??

Well, first a clue.

It doesn't matter more than a few percentage points whether you're black or white, hispanic or asian, republican or democrat or independent, catholic, protestant, jew, union or not, red state or blue state, very conservative or liberal, armed forces or nascar fan, walmart shopper or walmart boycotter, old or young, male or female, married or single, rich or poor. It just doesn't matter what demographic you're from because 86% is the lowest amount of support from any demographic and that's the youngsters 18-24 who're still in school (probably) and therefore "still learning."

So EVERY SINGLE CONCEIVABLE DEMOGRAPHIC GROUP SUPPORTS THIS PRINCIPLE BY A MINIMUM OF 86% AND AN AVERAGE OF 92%. And that includes a lotta people you don't agree with, too.

And the question involves voters having a choice of state laws regarding transparency of vote counting:”

This is great news; I mean who wouldn’t want to have transparent election results? I know I would love that, it would no more BS about someone stealing an election. Which never happened regardless of what the conspiracy theorists say, if there was a stolen election then how could every major media outlet in Florida 2000 come up with the same result 4 out of 5 times? The only time they got a win for Gore was when the counted the ballots that were outlawed by Florida law before the election took place. Try to share that with a moonbat though and you are sure to get a few choice swear words and “How stupid can you be”, of course it doesn’t matter that the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, or other liberal biased news sources did the count, it only matter what the moonbat feels happened. God it is enough to get me pissed off again; anyway this poll that LandShark commissioned had some really interesting results.

“18. In some states, members of the public have the right to view the counting of votes and verify how that process is working. In other states, citizens are in effect barred from viewing vote counting even if they would like to view the process. Which of the following two statements are you more likely to agree with – A or B?

Table 1.

Statement A: Citizens have the right to view and obtain information about how election officials count votes.
92%

Statement B: Citizens do not have the right to view and obtain information about how elections officials count votes.
6%

Neither/Not sure
2%

Most all likely voters (92%) agree that citizens have the right to view and obtain information about how election officials count votes (Statement A). Just 6% feel citizens do not have this right (Statement B).

Eighty-six percent or more of people within every demographic group agrees with Statement A. This includes overwhelming majorities of Democrats (93%), Republicans (87%), and independents (97%). Furthermore, no more than 10% of people in any sub-group – with the sole exception of 18-29 year-olds (13%) – agree more with Statement B.”

Like I said this is great news, of course I am concerned with the 6% that stated that Citizens do not have the right to view and obtain information about how the votes are counted. I think they are die hard liberals that are concerned they will not be able to get the illegal aliens and dead through the process. I know that Chicago might be a lot different if the Dead were unable to vote in their elections.

Now this is why I think this is not as good for the Democrats as the DU crowd is crowing about. 1) The Democrats are the ones that have problems voting, in every election controversy it happened in Democrat counties, with Democrat controlled board of election officials. In my entire life I have never seen such incompetence at anything and people so willing to pin it on someone else. Or they scream “WE ARE NOT GETTING OUR MESSAGE OUT!” I think they are getting the message out and the American people keep rejecting them. Time will tell if this is the case though and I think 2006 will be a good test to my theory. 2) With a transparent system, each voter getting a receipt if you will for their vote, we will not be able to have precincts reporting over 100% voting. This would have made it impossible for Washington State to elect the woman they have now if this was used in that election. 3) There could not be votes all of a sudden “found” when the Democrat candidate is found loosing the race. Like they did in Washington State in the recent Governor race, it would have had profound affects on the political scene in Washington.

All of these things lead me to believe that we will have more whining down the road form Democrats and the Liberals that wanted this in the first place. Remember it was the Democrats that wanted an electronic voting machine after the 2000 election because they couldn’t get their hanging and pregnant chads counted for their guy. The will claim the system is tainted or that the machines are spitting out the wrong name on the receipts when their guys and gals keep loosing national elections.

<link rel='related' href='http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x446445' title='LandShark's ZogbyPoll - It's Unanimous! We have Unemployment rates lower than they were in the so called 90’s boom. We have more people owning homes than ever before. The jobs keep growing, even after the disastrous dot com burst that happened shortly after 2001. We have done this as a country through a recession, the worst attack on our financial structure ever, and through so many corrupt corporation scandals that started well before the year 2000. They might have ended while President Bush has been office, but this mess started long before he got into office.

A Healthcare System that Works for Everyone – I guess this is the new version of Hillary Care? How disillusioned can they be, if you need healthcare you can head to the emergency room and receive the care you need? Without insurance to boot, if you can not pay the hospital will bill you and if you still do not pay they will write it off. Now I am not personally happy about this, but hey it is the way it is setup. If you need care you can receive it, and if you do not have prescription plan the doctor can give you samples for what ails you. How much better can it get for those with no health insurance? There are even doctors that have started new clinics that take only cash for payment. There by getting rid of the need to have employees to sort through and deal with the Health Insurance agencies In case you are wondering, I have family that are unable to pay for much of what they have and can not afford health insurance. So they have used the system, to mine and your tax dollars no less. So again just another talking point by the Democrat party it is so good to see that they really have our interests at heart isn’t it?

Retirement Security – Do I even have to start with how much this is a talking point? If they were really worried about retirement security for all Americans they would let us have the same system they have in Government, Our lovely Senators and House members are able to take a portion of their pay and put it in higher percentage yielding stocks, as well as in the traditional Social Security if they so wish. Why can we not have that same deal? What makes them so special to receive such treatment but we peons are not able to make the same choice?

You know I was going to get into the RNC platform but after this, is there really a point? The Democrats have never had a plan for America beyond the “We Hate BUSH”. If America looks at things properly and in the proper context of history they will make the right choice comes November and the Democrats will loose even more seats in the House and Senate as well as Governors. It would do the USA some good to have even more of these self-serving donkeys out office.

As always this is my opinion and my opinion alone, I wish you all a good life and hope you can make the right choices to bring our Nation greater glory.

DNC Party Plaform reviewed Part II

Honest Leadership & Open Government – President Bush has done everything he can to keep congress in the loop. How many times have we read a story that said that members of this committee or that committee were included in the planning stage, or given the information that the President had? Granted the Liberals will say “Well he kept important information from us” Like we had with the war in Iraq intelligence reporting. Funny thing is if you do a search for the documents you will find exactly what the report states. I am not one that will buy into the fact that the Democrats in the Intelligence Committee didn’t have access to the same report I can find on the net. In my honest opinion this first one is just bogus political talking points from the party of no.

Real Security – How are the democrats going to accomplish this one? They have opposed the Patriot Act; they are against the Military and the Intelligence agencies. We had a Democrat President that did more to destroy the military and the nation’s intelligence agencies than he did to help them. The Democrats want to “cut and run” from all conflicts and put our heads in the sand. All in the hopes that the Islamic Terrorists will leave us alone, what about the decades leading up to 9/11? How do they justify this reasoning with the way President Clinton handled things? We had many terrorist attacks during Clintons 8 years at the helm. He did absolute nothing, in fact his handling of Somalia led Bin Laden to believe that we Americans were soft and could not take any casualties. It was the defining moment that gave him the courage to start and plan 9/11 years before President Bush took office. Unless you think that they planned that attack in 8 month?

Energy Independence - This one is laughable coming from the people that consistently keep up on the foreign oil. Democrats and their lobbyists, in the form of Environmentalism, have kept us from developing and building refineries, they have kept us from drilling off the coasts, setting up wind farms in ideal locations, kept us from drilling for oil in Alaska. Hell we can not even begin to fathom what oil we have in this country. So now the Democrats, seeing that gas prices are rising, are hoping that the American public will forget exactly who has kept us on the foreign oil for all these decades. As I said this one is laughable and nothing more than another talking point with no real solution coming from the Democrats.

Economic Prosperity & Educational Excellence – This is another talking point from the Democrats. Through their lobbyists in the National Educational Association, they have had control of our Public School systems, well forever. We have one of the worst returns for that as well today. They have fought tooth and nail to hold the Teachers accountable and have testing based on performance, they have asked for more and more money every year. In fact compared to other industrialized nations we pay more per student and get far less in return. The Democrats do not have an answer for the Educational problems we are facing.

Part III coming next….

DNC Party Plaform reviewed Part I

I took a look at the DNC website today to see what they were up to for the 2006 midterms. I really wanted to see what plan they had and if they really had a detailed plan. I also took a look at the RNC to see what they had for a plan for the American people. Seeing that we do not have a strong third party in the states I will not bother to look at the other parties as they have no chance in hell to win in 2006.

We will start with the DNC; they have a 6 point plan for 2006. I am sure they will try to do something similar for 2008 especially if they feel it will help them gain power. So lets see what their brilliant ideas are for 2006 and what there plan is shall we.

1) Honest Leadership & Open Government
We will end the Republican culture of corruption and restore a government as good as the people it serves, starting with real ethics reform.
2) Real Security
We will protect Americans at home and lead the world by telling the truth to our troops, our citizens and our allies. We believe in a strong national defense that is both tough and smart, recognizing that homeland security begins with hometown security.
3) Energy Independence
We will create a cleaner, greener and stronger America by reducing our dependence on foreign oil, eliminating billions in subsidies for oil and gas companies and use the savings to provide consumer relief and develop energy alternatives, and investing in energy independent technology.
4) Economic Prosperity & Educational Excellence
we will create jobs that stay in America and restore opportunity for all Americans, starting with raising the minimum wage, expanding Pell grants and making college tuition tax deductible. We also believe in budget discipline that reduces our deficit.
5) A Healthcare System that Works for Everyone
We will join 36 other industrialized nations in making sure everyone has access to affordable health care, starting by fixing the prescription drug program and investing in stem cell and other medical research.
6) Retirement Security
we will ensure that a retirement with dignity is the right and expectation of every single American, starting with pension reform, expanding saving incentives and preventing the privatization of social security.

OK now lets look at this plan, first what I see is that there is not really much substance to it, even with the expanded description there is nothing to tell me exactly how they are going to accomplish this platform. So let’s take them one a time here…

It is comical

usy over the last two days, but I have been able to keep up with what is going on in the political world. I have to say it has been quite a comical spectacle.

First it started with Lieberman loosing in the primary by 11000 votes, or 4%. This is comical only because Michael Moore calls this a resounding defeat, only in a liberals mind is 4% a resounding defeat and 43% a mandate by the population. Then we have Mr. Lamont and his supporters claiming they have finally given the GOP a kicking. This is comical because an ultra-liberal beat another ultra-liberal in a primary by 4%. If you think for a moment that Mr. Lieberman is anything but an ultra-liberal you need to check his voting record. Just because he sided with the president on one issue, and make no mistake that is all he did wrong in the eyes of the Ultra-Liberal losers in the Democrat party.

He was ousted from his seat in the Democrat party, now the comical thing here is, and I really get laughing hard on this one, that Connecticut is primarily Independent voters. These Independents do not get to vote in the CT primary for either party. This is according to my reading of other news outlets and I have not found anything to contradict them. So if Lieberman runs in November as an independent it will be more representative of the feelings of the CT voters, not a primary that kept out 40% of the voting population because they identify themselves as anything but ultra-liberal losers. You know that I will be busting a gut if Lieberman comes back and beats the snot out of the ultra-liberal looser Lamont. But hey at least the Moon bats can finally claim a victory, although it came at the expense of their own party. Cannibalism is alive and well it seems on the left side of the isle.

Second thing I find comical over the last few days is the responses to this. IF you read any of the ultra-liberal Blogs you will see such anti-Semitism the likes that only Hitler could appreciate. You would see such intolerance for a man just because he happened to get along with his political opposite. I thought that is what we wanted in this country? I thought we wanted civil dissent and not hate filled rhetoric. Well it seems this is another issue the liberals and Democrats are hypocrites on. They want you lockstep with them, mind numb robots if you will. If you are not then they do not need you in their party. The big tent democrats just got a heck of a lot smaller.

I personally think this is what will happen in the coming months.

1) We will see the Looney left get more Looney, they will be embolden by this election and will in turn feel they are finally getting their message out.
2) Lieberman will be asked to step aside and not run as an independent this is already beginning in the Media. Watch it happen more and more as the run up to November comes closer

I also think that this is the beginning of the end of the Democrat party. Lieberman’s defeat sent a message to other Moderate, although Lieberman is anything but moderate, Democrats that they are not welcomed in the party unless they are screaming mad lunatics that toe the party line. I believe we will see a mass exodus of Moderates streaming over to the Republicans in the elections as they realize that their party of the little man is not officially insane. Of course time will tell if I am correct and November will be fast upon us.

Lieberman and MoveOn

I know this is late, had a nice weekend with the family away. Really beautiful in the Thumb, did some fishing with my boy and my daughter actually caught more fish than I did. So you will have to forgive me on my tardiness we got back Monday Afternoon and I had to take care of some business.

Today’s election will have a major impact on the Democrat party I predict. It will either propel Move On to greater heights, I use that term loosely, or it will set them back like no other election to date. You see Move On has a very bad habit of getting behind losers, I can not think of one candidate they have supported for a national office that has won. You could count Dean as a win, but I think he is helping the Republicans more than the Democrats at this point in time. Move On supported Hackett in Ohio, and then he was pressured to drop out from the Democrat leadership there. That was a major blow in of its self.

If Lamont wins today, it will be the first real victory the anti-war crowd can point to as positive. Till date they have only been able to say "Well we got close so that is a win". Not sure where they hell they went to school but ok. Where I went to school close didn't count as a win, and losers were not winners. But I digress... I think that the Democrats are opening a can of worms they do not want to though. You see one of two things can happen with this scenario.

1) Lamont Wins and then Liberal, oops I mean Lieberman, runs as an independent. All polling shows that Liberal, dang did it again Lieberman, wins hands down in the General election meaning that the Democrats loose a seat in the Senate if Lieberman wins as an independent. Of course there is nothing to keep him from changing back to the Democrats. I do not see him do this of course.

2) Lamont wins and then goes on and wins the November elections. This is the best possible result for the Move on and anti-American left. Because in their minds they will feel they are finally getting through to the voters. It will also make Move on show the rest of the Democrat party they are to be taken serious as big money contributors. It will also boldens the left and make their claims that the American citizen is loosing patience with the war in Iraq. However this is dual edge swords sort of speak. You see a Win by Lamont will indeed boldens the cretins on the anti-American left and will show more of the population how dangerous they are to run the country. This will aid the Republicans in 2008 so we can get more bitching about how the Republicans stole another election.

Now if Lieberman wins today it will be a crushing blow to the Anti-American Left. It will be another nail in the coffin of Move on and its political movement. You see after so many failed campaign runs with looser candidates no one and I mean no one will take them seriously, save those lunatics in the Anti-American crowd. It will prove that the citizens are indeed in support of the Iraq war regardless of what the lunatic left states. It will vindicate Lieberman as a major player and there will be many eating crow I think.

I do hope that Lieberman looses and runs as an independent so I can see the cries of anguish on the Lefts face when he wins in November. You will hear how Rove set it up, or Bush paid off he election workers. Or even the Republicans stifled the vote in the Democrat controlled areas. It should be a good time for all though and I have plenty of pop corn here waiting for the results.

Remember to vote this Tuesday if you have primaries going, I will be at the poll fairly early along with my wife.

What is all this mess?

What is happening in today’s world? We have Shiites in Iraq chanting death to Israel they apparently wish death to America too. I guess being kept under heal by the Sunni’s for so many decades didn’t wake them up to oppression and the inability to live in peace with their neighbors. All of this is going on while Israeli forces pound Hezbollah into the Stone Age. I realize that they have been given a voice as freedom of speech in Iraq is on the rise. But can they at least condemn those that started this round of hostilities? I realize that our leaders in the Democratic Party can not condemn Hezbollah, but we never said they had a brain right? Granted it is one House member from my state, which I wish I could vote in the election against the ass hat, needs to go. Yes I realize that his district contains Dearborn, one of the largest populations of Arabs in the world, outside of the Middle East of course. The least he could do is follow the State Department and his country in condemning a Terrorist group!

The BBC did a mock style 9/11 attack in London and they are now catching flak for it, I can not say I am not surprised the least bit. The video shows a plane hitting the Houses of Parliament as well as a picture of Mr. Blair with a bullet hole in his head while he slept next to his wife. The skit also shows a bombing in Tel Aviv by Hamas. It is so good to see that BBC is taking terrorism so lightly in lieu of what is happening in the world today. I guess the train station bombings were just a joke to them as well.

Then on the more humorless side of today’s headlines, we have Cindy Adam’s view that Stone’s 9/11 Trade Center movie is TOO SOON, TOO SLOW, I will agree that Oliver Stone is a crappy Director and his movies are normally fairly jerky and take way to long to develop. But just who does this woman think she is? Another elitist from the far left coast of Kookville in my opinion, now I do not have much love for Hollywood either but I would not wish that ones career ends because they had a drunken outburst. Regardless of what the experts say, alcohol is not a truth serum if it was then every horny guy that went to the bar would be laid by nights end. It seems that as usual a New Yorker gets it wrong; they did vote in a carpet bagger after all and seem to drink from the kool-aid cooler to much.

It just seems to me that the world is going to hell quickly, and unless it wakes up we will have another Hitler style government killing millions of innocent people in the Middle East and the world in a few years. As far as Mrs. or Miss Adams goes, I can not see her being married, what man would want to be with that. I hope she finds a place for her hate and ignorance

EU-No intent yet to add Hizbollah to terror list

"Given the senstitive situtaion, I don't think this is something we will be acting on now," Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja, told a news conference following an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.

What is wrong with this picture? Besides the misspelling of the reporter of this story that is. Is there something in the water in Brussels that makes these men and woman of Europe so cowardly? I mean how much more crap can one group do before they are finally referred to as the terrorist they are. They intentionally target civilians, they intentionally target innocent people and yet they are herald as the victims. Let us not forget it was Hezbollah digging a tunnel and snatching the soldiers that started this whole mess.

It wasn’t as if the Israelis launched some air raids, or sent in tanks into southern Lebanon first. It is not as if the other group on the border didn’t kidnap a soldier first. In all my time of watching these developments over my 20 years of paying attention to this sort of thing, one thing stands out above all else, that is the Islamofascist have started every conflict.

We get them to agree to a cease fire, and everyone breathes a sigh of relief that some war has been avoided. Then 6 months to 6 years later we have another provoke attack by groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, all we need is for Iran and Syria to stop acting as proxies and just invade Israel. Then the US will be justified in finishing this war that they seem to want to start.

Lets not be confused here, the US would wipe the floor with Iran, Syria, and any other nation that openly attacked. This is why they can not and will not attack openly. They will continue to fund these terror groups for their proxy war against the Israelis, and the US will continue to fund Israel all the while we get to suffer the fools that condemn Israel but not the ones that started the whole mess.

I realize that we might not know who started this mess 1000 of years ago; I have read reports of this fighting starting around 900 BC. But we know who is starting it after each and every cease fire. We need the world to rise up in voice and stop this backwards view of putting the aggressors as the victims, just because the original victims, the Israelis in this case, have the technological advantage and the superior standing army. When we can say with one voice “You started this attack and you should lay down your arms and cease the hostilities Hezbollah” we will continue to have these skirmishes and we will continue to see cowards in the EU and the US, namely socialist liberal weenies, to condemn the innocent and pander to the terrorists.

Isareal pushes deeper into Lebanon

Just when the world cries more and more for Israel to stop the bombings, especially in light of the recent building collapse where many women and children were killed. I have reservations about that as the building didn't collapse till 8 hrs later, according to other news sources I have heard on the radio. You can see some photos here that really burn my ass.

It is hard to fight anyone that has this view on life, or death if you want. To parade the dead children around as some trophy for the news is just atrocious. You do not see Israel or other western nations doing this. So why are these barbarians so hell bent on showing their dead. You know when I watch the news and talk to others on this matter. I see to contrasting views. On one side I see Hezbollah celebrate whenever there are Israelis killed, and they parade around their dead for the cameras as some trophy to be seen by the whole world. Meanwhile, I hear Israelis that mourn their dead and denounce the killing the any child. I do not see Israelis trotting out the bodies of their citizens killed by Hezbollah rockets for the world to see. I do not see them televising the funerals.

You know now that I think about it, maybe they are doing that but because of the Media bias the stories are not getting out? I mean there has definitely been a lot more sympathy for Hezbollah than for Israel in the media coverage. There have been over 2000 missiles launched into Israel, I have seen very little mention of that, or have I seen many mentions of the two countries that Hezbollah gets their weapons from, or money to function.

Either way I am glad that Israel is taking their citizens safety seriously, heaven knows the rest of the world and the liberals in the US are as anti-semantic as the Nazi's during World War II. I will pray for peace and hope that it will be lasting, that may mean that Israel will need to continue till Hezbollah is finally disarmed as the UN stated years ago.

Three weeks off

Well I have been gone for a few weeks, had some issues that needed to be taken care of and I think things should be set for a bit now. In my absence I have not really kept up on the news that much, the kids are more important. In fact I plan to do more of that and less of the whole watching every second of the news wires. I will explain why below..

My son has become extremely interested in Dinosaurs. It is so funny to watch him mimic their roar. Let me tell you that all of them, even the Brontosaurus, sound like a T-Rex. He bounces them along the table or floor, even the windows have become a virtual dinosaur stomping ground. He does have it correct though and has the T-Rex eating the Brontosaurus and other plant eaters. So at least he has that part right, just hope that when he enters pre-school this fall he doesn't fall victim to the feminization that seems to be happening to our young boys today.

I say feminist's because at my new job I work with some teenagers, and my daughter has brought over a couple boys that is in the neighborhood. These boys think it is ok to wear girl pants, both ears are pierced, and they would rather play with Barbie doll's or some other doll than talk about cars, women, or sports. I tell you this is not natural for young boys in their teenage years to be doing all of this. When I was 15 my only thought was on getting my license so I could make it to basketball or football practice, and chasing the young girls or taking them out for a date so I could get a kiss. I surely didn't want to play dolls with them and I would never be caught wearign their clothes or piercing both ears so I could wear hoop earrings. The left ear with a stud looks fairly good for a guy, not that I would do that but I would not think nothing of it. The boys that that would paint their nails got razed for it and maybe these boys do too I am not sure. I just know that it is not normal to dress or think that way for a young man.

My kids are great and they act as they should, just have to make sure that it stays that way. I will return to my daily postings though as I do not want to see this blog go the way of the dodo.

Good to be back

Middle East slugging it out

I am sure many of you have b een keeping tabs on the recent developments in the Middle East. With the recent development of Japan talking about a possible strike, the US talking about deploying the patriot missile system to Japan and South Korea it will help make that region a bit safer. We all know that the little man in the North is just as Looney as anyone on the left today. This is probably why Clinton gave him the damn nuclear reactors to begin with, of course the left is conveniently forgetting this part and the talks that they, the Clinton Administration, held in 1994. Talks by the way that didn’t include any of North Koreans neighbors, and the left seems to forget that it was Jimmy Carter that assured us all that the little man from North Korea would not use those reactors to attain a nuclear bomb.

So what do we have now? Well we have another dictator that is loved by the leftist of the world threatening all out war if the US doesn’t bow down and talk to them alone. Or if the US acts in its best interest and knocks one of those missiles down before they get off the launching pad. I think the US and others made a huge mistake by allowing the little man from North Korea an opportunity to launch his missiles. They were able to garner great scientific data by those failed launches and the next missile that is launched might just have a nuclear tip and land on our West coast, then what will be the spin from the lefties at that time?

As I said in the opening paragraph, at least the Japanese are taking this crack pot serious. Now if we can get the Chinese on board we just might be able to diffuse this situation without an all out war, one which will show the world exactly why the US is the lone super power and that their dreams of a World where China is equal to the US is just that a pipe dream. I might make a suggestion to our leaders sitting in Washington wringing their fat little hands about this situation, DO SOMETHING FOR US THIS TIME NOT FOR WHAT YOU THINK THE WORLD NEEDS!

Free Dish Network Satellite Offer

Free Dish Network Satellite Offer
By Al Falaq Arsendatama

You will really be surprised when you come across some of the freebies that are on offer for Satellite TV. Warner of Virginia, the chairman of the Armed Services Committee, said he had not yet decided what course Congress should take. But Mr. Warner, who will preside over hearings on the issue in July, said he was concerned that new tribunals, even if authorized by Congress, might not withstand judicial scrutiny.

"We're going to do this extremely carefully and accurately, or we're going to end up with a solution that once again ends up being the subject of litigation, and possibly being overturned," Mr. Warner said in an interview in his office.

The scope of the court's decision stunned the White House and Congress, forcing the House and Senate to rearrange their limited summer legislative calendar to address the issue. Lawmakers from both parties said Friday that they hoped to reach agreement by the end of summer on a new plan to bring terror suspects to trial…

Read rest here

I got this little tidbit from the NYT, I have a few thoughts on this and I just can not see where the hell the court is coming from on this.

First let’s consider the people involved in this, they do not come from one specific country, and they do not wear a uniform. They behead their prisoners, they torture, the real torture not the Abu-grab kind where they wear underwear on their heads and made to crawl around naked either. They repeatedly state that they want to kill or subjugate all non-believers. They get in an uproar over a cartoon of a rapist and murderer, but wish to silence any other form of religion. These are not some damn boy scouts we are dealing with here. All the people in Gitmo were found shooting at our troops. This makes them enemy combatants, not some peaceniks that were out in the middle of the desert having a picnic.

From the Geneva Convention and honestly ask yourself if the Terrorists are acting in accordance with this convention.

“Article 13

Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. Any unlawful act or omission by the Detaining Power causing death or seriously endangering the health of a prisoner of war in its custody is prohibited, and will be regarded as a serious breach of the present Convention. In particular, no prisoner of war may be subjected to physical mutilation or to medical or scientific experiments of any kind which are not justified by the medical, dental or hospital treatment of the prisoner concerned and carried out in his interest.

Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.

Measures of reprisal against prisoners of war are prohibited.

Article 14

Prisoners of war are entitled in all circumstances to respect for their persons and their honour. Women shall be treated with all the regard due to their sex and shall in all cases benefit by treatment as favourable as that granted to men. Prisoners of war shall retain the full civil capacity which they enjoyed at the time of their capture. The Detaining Power may not restrict the exercise, either within or without its own territory, of the rights such capacity confers except in so far as the captivity requires.”

Found here

I will admit they need to have a trial, not some civilian trial but a military trial. They were caught in time of war that means they fall under the military courts. Because they do not wear a uniform and are not from one country they do not get the protections of the Geneva Convention either. I will concede that they might be covered if they (the terrorists) followed it too, which they are not. If you think beheading prisoners of war are ok, torturing is ok for them, why do you have such a problem with a little underwear and humiliation?

I think that the court overstepped its power here; we are at war with a group of people that have declared war on us prior to 9/11. They have repeatedly attacked us throughout the last 30 years with little to no response from previous Presidents. The Kobalt Towers, ’93 WTC, Plane Hijackings, Embassy bombings, hostages taken in the 1980’s, The USS Cole, Marine barracks being blown up. All of these happened in the last 26 years, most of them happened about 1985-2000, then we had 9/11 that is when we as a nation finally woke up. Well at least for a little while, it seems that the liberals are winning this battle as more and more Americans fall back into that sense of everything is ok and will be from here on out.

Mark my word, if these killers are not brought to justice by the right courts, then the Military should stop taking prisoners. Because what is the use of letting them out because some “mamby”,” pamby” POS liberal judge lets them off. These people are not US citizens and are not afforded the protection under our constitution; they are not wearing a uniform from a country and are not protected by the Geneva Convention. The penalty for spies during war is death. Anyone caught shooting at our troops should be shot dead and not taken alive. That would solve the problem with the liberals in the country and the world.

So hopefully Warner and the rest of the Republicans will rise to the challenge and limit the damage done by the courts. So much for a Conservative court eh? Never in my life have I seen such a disregard for the People they are supposed to protect. It is this reason and this reason alone that I have a hard time every finding myself voting for another Democrat. Till they start to view this as "What is best for America" and not "What will the rest of the world think" they can not be trusted with stewardship of this country. I am ashamed to say that I voted for this part in every election uptill 2004.

Intersting article

"How come there's never any cash in the checking account?"

How many times have you asked yourself that question? You know the business is making money. The Profit and Loss statement shows a profit every month. You are constantly signing checks to pay the quarterly tax payments. Every time you go to the bank for a ninety day note, your banker agrees without batting an eye -- just passes over the papers for your signatures.

And he tells you, "That business of yours sure cranks out the profits and it just keeps growing. What a gem."

But where's the cash?

If your business is growing at a rate of 30% a year, and your gross profit is 25%, you will always be out of cash. It's amazing, but unless the business generates high profits, even moderate growth will kill a business. The business can survive only as long as it has sufficient credit to borrow money -- more money each time it goes to the bank. But when the debt service closes in on the cash flow, any downturn in sales, or slowdown in collections, or increase in costs can stop the availability of credit.

How do you increase profits? Raising prices is a good way to start. My barber understands the supply/demand curve as well as anybody I know. He runs a one-man shop and works only by appointments. When he starts to see new faces looking for appointments (more demand), he raises his prices. Most routine financial transactions confined to this country are not in the database.

Viewed by the Bush administration as a vital tool, the program has played a hidden role in domestic and foreign terrorism investigations since 2001 and helped in the capture of the most wanted Qaeda figure in Southeast Asia, the officials said.

The program, run out of the Central Intelligence Agency and overseen by the Treasury Department, "has provided us with a unique and powerful window into the operations of terrorist networks and is, without doubt, a legal and proper use of our authorities," Stuart Levey, an under secretary at the Treasury Department, said in an interview on Thursday….

Read the rest here

Well to my knowledge they, the Government, are not targeting US citizens. Unless of course you are talking to a known terrorist or suspected terrorist, then in that case I am cool with them looking at you closely.

By leaking this; the NYT has helped to hurt our chances of stopping those that wish to kill us all. It doesn’t matter if you are liberal, conservative, and indifferent. If you are not Muslim these murderers want to kill you, unless of course you subscribe to their 14th century ideology. Not sure about you but I really do not want to go back to push a horse and cart just to plow my garden.

Now I am not saying that the times should be tried as a whole. However the people that leaked this to the press should be tried for treason and punished according to the constitution. If the reporters will not release the names then they should be brought up on conspiracy charges or something similar and sentenced accordingly.
I do know that if the Democrats weren't so batty they would probably control one or both houses of Congress and probably the Presidency by now. Luckily for us they have moved so far to the left that the majority of Americans do not recognize the party that was for the little guy back in the 60’s. The NYT, LAT and company are just mouth pieces for this radical fringe. That brings me to my next point I read somewhere that 90% of journalists identify themselves as liberals and we know responsibility and Liberal go together much like water and oil

flag desecration falls by one vote

© 2006 FOX News Network, LLC

Tuesday, June 27, 2006

(Excerpt)

WASHINGTON — A constitutional amendment to ban flag desecration fell one vote short of the 67-vote threshold needed for Senate passage and referral to the states.

The proposed amendment, sponsored by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, read: "The Congress shall have power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States."

The amendment did not seek to ban flag burning. It sought to give Congress the constitutional authority to define flag desecration and ban that behavior in the future. The careful language was an attempt to get around two Supreme Court rulings in 1989 and 1990 that called flag burning and other desecration protected free speech under the First Amendment.

The vote, one week before Independence Day, is the closest backers have ever come to passage. The previous Senate vote, on March 29, 2000, failed on a vote of 63-37. Last year, the House surpassed the two-thirds threshold to pass the amendment 286-130...

Read Article here

Being a veteran this saddens me greatly, many people have died protecting this country and the Flag represent their sacrifice. To allow people to burn it, shit on it, piss on it and soil it is nothing but a slap in the face of all those that have come before and after me serving this country.
Here is how the Senate voted. Please note all the traitors to our servicemen and woman and make sure you write them to tell them to get their act together.

My senators happened to split on this vote, being that Senator Stabenow is up for reelection this election cycle she voted for it. Senator Levin is safe till 2008 so he is hoping we forget about this slap in our face by then. The reason I think this was the case is because the Democrats and Republicans both know that the average citizen wants this amendment. So those that are up for reelection will do whatever they have to do, in order to dupe those of us that do not pay attention much throughout the years till it is close to voting again. It is maddening and these people should not be rewarded with their jobs.

As always this is my opinion disagree if you must I look forward to hearing from you.

Paying a monthly bill to watch TV? Why would you do such a stupid thing?

I know you all have probably seen these satellite TV’s for your PC. I have it linked to the left hand side as I really enjoy my service. I decided to write about my experience with it tonight as I am just getting off of my second job. So I will start at the beginning maybe you will like to check it out yourself, it is quite crazy to be honest that this is legal and works.

I bought my software package 3 months ago I think, time flies when you are having fun after all. Anyway I wasn’t really sure if I wanted it as I was paying for digital cable already and I loved that. I loved the DVR that came with the cable and was able to get rid of that crappy VCR I had from 20 years ago. I found the site I linked to at that time, it was cheap, about $110 cheaper than I was paying for my cable bill each month. I had just worked some over time and seeing I get to keep the overtime pay for what I want I figured I would give this a try.

So I did some searching the site I have to the left was the cheapest for what was being offered, so I figured I would go with them,. Being that it was only $40 instead of $50 or the one site wanted $150, the $40 fit right in with what I had extra in my check so it was a perfect fit. If Uncle Sam didn’t take out so much I would have had more to play with, unfortunately they always seem to get theirs. Anyway I bought the package and was able to get it within 5 min so I was excited.

I took the next 15 minutes I was setup and ready to go. Boy was it cool! I am a tech geek from the word go and wow. I had literally 2000 channels at my finger tips. I was watching TV in France, granted I couldn’t understand a damn word of it but I had the channel. I was able to get all my favorite channels I had on cable plus some that I had only heard about form friends living over seas. No more waiting for some soccer game to come on, yes I am a soccer fan never been good at playing it but I do like it a habit I picked up from my friends in Italy when I was in the service. Got side track again didn’t I? Sorry have that habit when talking about something I enjoy.

So there I was with 2000 channels, paying only $40 for it. I was paying $140 to have 200 channels on cable, phone, and internet. I of course didn’t have my DVR but that wasn’t an issue as I was almost positive I could find someone that had one. Which of course I did and you can find them here. They offer many solutions to DVR’s for PC as well as normal DVR’s for your home TV’s.

If you are really paying a monthly bill for your TV, check these guys out. If you are like me it will save you $500 or more the first year! I know I can do a lot more with that $500 than giving it to the cable company.

These guys that are selling the program to get satellite on your PC say their rates are going to rise so check it out and get in on the deal while you can. Even if it does go up I would more than be happy to pay $150 for this system as it is saving me more than that within 6 months.

You can follow the links in this post or just click on the left hand side and follow that link. Do not worry you can get your money back if you are not happy with this, not sure why you wouldn't be absolutely overjoyed with saving money and getting more channels than you can shake a stick at, but you can get your money back in full if that is the case.

One last thing if you purchase this through my Blog here I will give you $10 dollars in your pay pal account after 60 days of you purchasing it, just send me a copy of the receipt to my email after the 60 days and I will send you $10, so it will cost you just $30 to get free TV! That is how sure I am that you will love this. I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. As always feel free to drop me a line and tell me how much you just love your free TV. I know my family and I just love it, so much we had to go and get a bigger Monitor so we can watch it while sitting on the couch.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://taladsthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/06/paying-monthly-bill-to-watch-tv-why.html' title='Paying a monthly bill to watch TV? There is one popular alternative to this life style, which is looking for a business opportunity that turns you from an employee into a self-employed entrepreneur running your very own business.

I can see many good reasons why to make this move, it is a wise one in my honest opinion. Being your own boss means you can set your own hours. This can is the number one reason I have set to task as I have 2 small children and a wife I would like to spend more time with. Another good reason is that working from home can save you some valuable time, if your alternative is driving back and forth two or three hours a day to work. The last one and probably most important is you make a whole lot more working for your self than you do someone else.

I guess I am saying that being your own boss gives you a very valuable commodity called freedom. You are free from being someone else’s employee, and return you get to be responsible for your own future. As a self-employed entrepreneur you are free to do many of things I stated above, set your own hours, establish your own work habits, choose what you will and will not do for work, create your own products, find your own customers, and do whatever it takes to make those customers happy.

The most important aspect of working for yourself is that you are free to set your own prices. You get to choose how much you make or how little income you generate. You will not have anyone to answer too, unless like me and you have a wife that is curious at everything you are doing, other than yourself, suppliers and the taxman. Who is always there, in life only two constant Death and taxes, remember those as they will be forever in your life.

**There two alternatives I have found to getting started**

The two ways I have found through my research are quite obvious. The First is probably the most rash and not all of us are able to do this. Quit your day job and launch yourself fully into the new venture. The second is to continue on with your current employment and develop your business on the side, in whatever spare time you can find. I will call the first one “Pissing off the spouse” and the second I will call “Getting no sleep but saving your marriage” nah just kidding ha-ha. Just need to separate them while we discuss each.

Depending on your point of view, taking the first strategy can be either an act of courage or just plain reckless behavior. Unless you happen to be one of the top 2% of people in the world who are independently wealthy, planning and timing are extremely important with this approach. The reason should be obvious, once you leave your current employer your source of income will be gone and you will have very limited time to make your business work before the bills come a calling. It is truly “sink or swim” and you can sink pretty fast without a source of income, I know trust me it is painful.

This means that you need to plan the changeover to self-employed very carefully. Everyone will have a different situation. My aunt was able to step from her bus driving job into a private transportation business because the last six months of her employment she spent her time developing leads and contacts within the community. When she finally struck out on her own she had customers waiting and was able to more than double her income the very first year. I was shocked at how many parents couldn’t get to school to pick up their kids!

Unfortunately majority of us are not this lucky. We do not have the quality leads or specialized skills. Most of us cannot take the opportunity to use our present employment to build that launching pad of potential customers before we take off into the wonderful world of self-employment. However most of us are starting with very few ideas, not so defined skills, and a limited income. So our leap into self-employment had better take off within the next few months are we are likely to find a job at the local burger place or worst still return to our previous employer.

This is why I think the Second option is the best approach for most of the newly self-employed entrepreneurs, the second option lets you test your idea, develop your unique skills and build your business slowly. If you happen to be unsure about the products or services you are going to sell, this approach lets you try different product lines and see how well they fit with your overall objectives and abilities. It is often that our first ideas are not realistic, or there just happens to be no market for the services they want to provide. Or you find that you cannot charge enough to make any money with the products or services you have chosen.

**Choose your product carefully**

Like all new entrepreneurs, whether you like the first “piss the spouse off” or “Take your time and make a happy home” approach you should be very tight fisted with your resources, they are limited after all and you should not invest serious capital into a product or business idea till you have taken the time to thoroughly check it out. I have some suggestions on how to do this:

1. Talk to people who are already selling the product or service.

2. Establish the credibility of the person or company providing the product or service.

3. Make sure the company provides on-going support for their product(s).

4. Make sure there are no hidden or unexpected costs (such as franchise fees) that will eat away your profits.

This applies to everything you are looking at, whether it is an online product such as an MLM or affiliate scheme, or a more traditional product or service aimed at your neighbors or local customers as it were.

I can point to a few examples in the world where this holds true. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates started out in their garage, now look where they are today? My Aunt started out driving for the school land today she has her own employees and garage. Almost every millionaire today took some steps to secure that future for them. What is holding you back?

These are some rare instances I know, in the world of “business opportunities” many claim to have made millions and taken the “bull by the horns”. But many of the cases have never made their idea actually work and are floundering around doing what they hate the most.
Any successful entrepreneur will tell you, the choices you make in products will determine if you fail or succeed. Many of the ideas out there are bogus with no hope of working, and many others are purely designed to make maximum profits for their creators and small profit for people like you and me who choose to sell them. So no matter how hard you work; how committed you are to making it “big”, if you happen to choose the wrong product you will be doomed to failure. As they say try, try, try again till you do succeed. So do not take this to heart as many successful entrepreneurs have failed 3 times or more before finally making those cool millions

Senate Rejects Call to Withdraw Troops

I have to say I agree with the results of these two votes, it is about time the Democrats realize that we need to finish the work we started in Iraq. This is not the 1970’s and the Democrats do not have a monopoly on the information that gets out through the media. I am sure it is much to their dismay as it would just be easier for them if Americans “We Plebs” Were as stupid and blind and just followed the crap they spew from day to day.

Luckily for us we do have other media outlets that put the word out and without the typical liberal spin. This however was not the case during the Vietnam War, which the Democrats are quick to make comparisons too mind your, the anti-war movement then had whatever access they needed to bring down the US. The results are apparent, even the Generals of the North Vietnamese admit they were loosing the war and just held out for the anti-war crowd to change public opinion. Which we know is what happened, never have we seen such a successful attempt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

David Horowitz, who helped to organize the first campus demonstration against the war at the University of California, Berkeley in 1962, has reflected on this tragedy

“Every testimony by North Vietnamese generals in the postwar years has affirmed that they knew they could not defeat the United States on the battlefield, and that they counted on the division of our people at home to win the war for them. This is what happened. The blood of hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese, and tens of thousands of Americans, is on the hands of the anti-war activists who prolonged the struggle and gave victory to the Communists...and we wanted them to win.” You can find this info

HERE

<u1:p></u1:p>This is exactly what our glorious Senators, Kerry, Reid, and Levin, tried to accomplish today. Thankfully we have enough Senators that know better and knew that this would have given the signal to the insurgents that we are going to tuck tale and run. Especially after what happened the other day with those two young men, May god have mercy on their souls, my prayers go out to their families that they might find some peace in their time of grief.

<u1:p></u1:p>You should know this, that if the Senate would have had voted in favor of either of these bills, we would have embolden the terrorists and shown them we do not have the fortitude to stand a few gruesome deaths. It would have been Mogadishu all over again and that one act inspired Bin Laden to attack us on our home soil. Who could know what would have been inspired in some other murderer had the Senate voted in favor of ending our presence in Iraq after this tragedy.

<u1:p></u1:p>I do agree that we need to bring the troops home, but only after the mission is completed. If the military starts to take those of us with bum feet, I will be standing in that line to sign back up and go back into active duty. Till the day they take handicapped people I will have to be content in knowing that there are people that have stronger character than Senator Kerry, Reid and Levin willing to protect my rights to write this and their right to speak what they will.

<u1:p></u1:p>These are my thoughts on this matter you can find this story Here

Greetings

Hello there, this is Talad and this will become my home for a time.

I will post my thoughts on everything going on the world, local, and national. I live in the United States and I have an opinion on just about everything. I work in the automotive field, currently attending college for a second degree into Internet and LAN Security. I am getting tired of dealing with the car makers as it were.

I am a father of two and have a very loving wife, We live in the Michigan and enjoy the summer months, the winters are getting to be a bit to much on my old bones so we might be moving south to warmer climates.

I look forward to giving you my thoughts, I am sure there will be some that disagree with me and others that agree. I welcome all comments and we might get into a pissing match if we disagree sharply enough.

I will begin posting my initial thoughts later today after I get home.
